Ham and Broccoli Quiche

Ham and Broccoli Quiche (Skinka och broccoli paj)

 

Another quiche… A classic and very easy one to make. Serve with a nice fresh green salad!

Ingredients

  • 1 frozen pre-made pie shell
  • 1 1/2 cup of diced ham
  • 1 1/2 cup of broccoli
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 1 cup of heavy cream
  • 3-4 eggs
  • Salt, pepper and other spices you might like
  • 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

1. Pre heat oven to 400 degrees F. Prick a pie shell with a fork and bake for about 10 minutes.

2. Boil the broccoli for a few minutes. You just want them slightly cooked through.

3. Dice the ham.

4. Slice the tomatoes.

5. Whisk the cream, eggs and spices until smooth.

6. Place the ham and broccoli in the pie shell.

7. Pour the egg/cream mixture on top.

8. Top with the cheese and bake in the oven for about 30-40 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.

9. Let it cool slightly and serve with a green salad.

White Chocolate Cake with Rhubarb

White Chocolate Cake with Rhubarb (Rabarber kladd kaka)

 

This was my first time making this cake and it was a big hit with everyone. Yay!

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups of white chocolate
  • 2 sticks of butter
  • 2 cup of white sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 3 teaspoons of vanilla syrup
  • 2 1/2 cups of flour
  • 2 sticks of rhubarb

Instructions

1. Slice the rhubarb into sticks.

2. Butter a spring form baking dish and put aside.

3. Melt the butter and add the chocolate. Stir until combined.

4. In big bowl, whisk the eggs, sugar, vanilla syrup until combined. Add the chocolate mixture. Finally add the flour and stir until combined.

5. Pour the batter into the spring form.

6. Place the rhurbarb slices on the cake.

7. Bake at 390 degrees F for about 35 minutes until golden brown.

8. Let it chill for a bit before serving with ice cream or whipped cream.
