Kebab Quiche (Kebab paj)


This is one of my mom’s recipes and certainly one of my favorites! Easy to make and loved by all – who doesn’t like a quiche tasting like a taco!?


  • 1 pie shell
  • 1 chopped yellow onion
  • 1 pound of ground beef or ground turkey
  • 1 bag of taco spice mix
  • 1/2 cup of water
  • 4 chopped tomatoes
  • 3 chopped Peperoncino
  • 1 cup of sour cream
  • 3 tablespoons of mayo
  • White pepper
  • 1 cup of shredded cheese
  • 1 sliced yellow onion


1. Prick the pie shell with a fork and bake at 400 degrees F for about 12 minutes.

2. Fry the ground beef or ground turkey along with the chopped onion.

3. Add the taco spice mix and the water and cook until browned. I like to drain the fat in a strainer before adding to the shell.

4. In a big bowl, mix the chopped tomatoes, the Peperoncinos, the sour cream, the mayo, the white pepper and the shredded cheese.

5. Fill the shell with the fried meat.

6. Spread the tomato mixture on top.

7. Top with the sliced onion rings. Bake in the over at 400 degrees for at least 20 minutes, until you see the onion rings starting to brown.

8. Let it cool down for a few and serve with a green salad.
