Sausage Stroganoff

Sausage Stroganoff (Korv stroganoff)


This dish is perfect for a weeknight when you don’t have a lot of time to cook. Traditionally it calls for Falukorv, which is pretty hard to find here in the States, so I used kielbasa. My kids loved it!


  • One yellow onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 pound of sausage, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup of whipping cream
  • 1/2 cup of tomato sauce
  • Salt and pepper
  • Rice


1. Slice onion thin and fry in oil until soft.

2. Add the sliced sausage and cook until browned.

3. Add the sliced bell pepper and cook until soft.

4. Add the tomato sauce and cream along with salt and pepper.

5. Simmer for about 5 minutes and serve with rice.
