Sausage and Mashed Potatoes

Sausage with Mashed Potatoes (Korv med mos)

 

A classic! In Sweden you can by this in your local kiosk, a small open-fronted hut or cubicle from which newspapers, refreshments, tickets, etc., are sold. This is a quick dinner loved by the whole family!

Ingredients

  • Your favorite sausage
  • 8 medium potatoes
  • 1/2 cup of milk
  • 1 stick of butter
  • 1 yellow onion
  • Salt and pepper
  • Mustard
  • Ketchup

Instructions

1. Boil the poatoes until tender.

2. Slice the onion thinly and fry until very soft.

3. Drain the potatoes and add the milk and butter. Mash until soft and creamy. Season with salt and pepper. Keep warm in the oven while cooking the sausage.

4. Fry the sausage until golden brown.

5. Serve the mash with sausage and the fried onion along with mustard and ketchup.
